Plant Milkweed for Monarchs

Milkweed plants are the only hosts for Monarch butterfly larvae, and natural habitats are being lost rapidly.

Not only is the milkweed plant beautiful, but the native wild and domestic honey bee uses it as an important source of nectar. The honeybee plays the most significant role in the production of fruits and vegetables. Native bees are vitally important in pollinating the world’s food crops due to the dramatic decline of healthy honeybee colonies. Just 2% of the wild bees account for 80% of global crop pollination.
